From
the Back Cover --
For the past forty-six years I
have lived my life in large measure by the reflection of myself in the
eyes of my parents. It is often hard to define and comprehend the impact
that parental love has in the life of a child, until that love is no
longer there. It is also difficult to measure the importance of a father
& son relationship until the son moves away to pursue a career, or
experiences the loss of his father later on in life. My Dad was far from
perfect, but he loved me very much and most importantly he tried to be a
caring, involved and understanding parent. In so many ways my Dad was my
hero. He is gone now, and I miss him terribly. But, the more I think
about him and write about him, the more I realize he will forever be in
my heart. When I was young I often shared my Dad with my friends. I
would like to do that once again. Now I would like to share my memories
and feelings with you.
