From the Back Cover --

Working with the unwed parents, addicts and the homeless is a process of self discovery. I have found that through teaching others, I am the student. I have also found that it is the darkest hour just before the dawn. They struggle and struggle and just when they are about to give up, they discover that they really are dynamic. I have also encountered times when they do not have an immediate awakening, dawning or a breakthrough, but I increase my efforts and provide empowerment and hands-on learning; for if I give them a fish, they will eat for a day, and when I teach them how to fish, they eat for a lifetime.-- From Chapter 11
