Autobiographica documents Jean
Nevin’s journey as an artist through the many mediums in which she has
worked - from woodcut, etching and papermaking to relief sculpture,
digital imaging and mixed media collage. Along the way she deals with
the question of a degree in art, her commitment to art with content, and
her impatience with the constraints to creativity imposed by traditional
expectations.
About the Author --
Now living in
Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nevin is currently combining all she has
learned of techniques and materials into the creation of artist books
under her Dryad Studio imprint. Nevin has exhibited nationally in
numerous juried fine art shows across the country and internationally at
the Florence Biennale. She is a signature member of the Society of
Layerists in Multi-Media and has been listed in Who’s Who of American
Women since 1991.
